MIDIYA is a coffee house situated at the crossroads in the historical centre of Vladivostok. This space is made for the people who think unusually, brightly, differently. Combining incongruous things - Coffee + Mussel - we together with a restaurateur Ilya Sukhih worked out the name and the concept for the coffee house with seaside identity which could appear only in the seaside city.

The uniqueness of the local colouring is reflected in the recipes of all coffee drinks. The sudden name of the coffee house helped to go from stereotyped themes and coffee coloring decisions at the designing the interior.

The accent wall - a large collage with a mussel ahead - is done with our hands together with a painter Svetlana Gorodetskaya. It is made of old calendars, magazines, photoprints, splash-paper and acrilic paint.

The handforged lamps in the shape of giant open mussel shells hang above the central group of bartables.

Our place sparkles with all tones of pearl as a mussel shell. In finishing the decor we used much the reflecting surfaces made of brass, glass, rustless steel baked at a high temperature for having rainbow stains effect.
