Supra is a popular restaurant of Georgian cuisine. Working at framing the concept of the interior we visited different regions in Georgia assimilating its history, beauty, eventful culture, wonderful customs of this country.
We selected the decor for the restaurant in antique small shops and flea markets in Tbilisi, Telavi and Mtsheta.
The air of a big hospitable Georgian house was also taken from Georgia. They are an open brick-stoned setting, an authorical ceramics as a decor. Ornaments on wood ceiling panels are the duplicates of carven shutters of houses in Tbilisi.
The autumn trees with persimmon from Kutaisi are shown in forged grids by Primorskiy blacksmith.
The main thing in the decor we are proud of is the collection of Georgian traditional kilims (carpets) which were handloomed in the period from the beginning till the 70th of the previous century. The carpets were collected from many places in Georgia and restored by the team of a marvelous Georgian woman by name Manana.
The ceramic inserts in beech tables are made in a special technique of painting. We also used a traditional Georgian "supra" tablecloth - blue background with white ornament.
